Trying to watch your weight this holiday season? I found a fabulous toasted coconut flavored greek yogurt and kinda had an epiphany; if you added some unsweetened coconut flakes, a sprinkle of dark chocolate, and almonds it would taste like an almond joy. This coconut almond parfait should be entirely guilt free. The greek yogurt, almonds, and chocolate are a good choice of protein and antioxidants.
- 5 ounces coconut greek yogurt
- ½ tablespoon miniature dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut
- 1 tablespoon almonds
- You can use regular or light greek yogurt that will adjust your calorie count. Sprinkle dark chocolate chips, unsweetened coconut, and almonds on top of yogurt, and enjoy!
This recipe isn’t exactly rocket science, it is ridiculously easy to throw together. I almost always gain weight during the holidays, and it torture to watch everyone eat all those tasty desserts. This dessert helps me satisfy my sweet tooth without feeling too guilty later.
