My son will be 7 in January, and I’m having a hard time remembering what it was like preparing for a baby or having a newborn; maybe that’s a good thing? I remember reading reviews on everything and trying to save as much money as possible to help compensate for my expected time off work. Not all baby products are made equal, and you shouldn’t have to choose between affordability and quality when trying to save money. Today I’m going to help you save on nursery decor, so that you’ll have more money to stock up on necessities that you’ll really need. These Woodland Animal Printables can add a nice (and gender neutral) touch to any nursery decor. I’m still toying with the idea of letting our baby be a surprise in the delivery room, and decor that could be gender neutral would make that a little less stressful. I used popular elements such as owls, foxes, bears, and deer to create the printable art. They print very nicely on 8×10 or standard size card stock (that can be cut down to fit an 8×10 frame).
The entire Woodland Animal Printables project cost less than $10 total to print and hang. If you want a little more impact, I suggest getting frames that are matted to fit an 8×10 photo.
Woodland Decor Tutorial and Wood Animal Printables Supply List:

Woodland Decor Tutorial:
You’ll need to download each of the png or pdf files. When you print, go into printing options to select the correct paper size, the best print setting, and matte brochure paper. I’ve found that these settings make the best quality prints.
If you used standard size card stock, you’ll need to trim the excess paper to fit in the frame. I use a pencil or ink pen to trace where I need to cut.
You have two options when loading the print into the frame; if you want to protect the prints you can leave the glass in front of the print like a standard photo, but if you don’t want a glare, you can carefully remove the glass, place the print down on top, and secure the glass behind the print. I did the latter.
I might be partial because I created these, but I do think they’re adorable. They could easily transition from a nursery to a toddler bedroom or playroom.
We’ve already started to stock up on baby essentials from Babies “R” Us. They have a wide selection of everything that you might need for a new baby, including a large selection of Huggies products. Huggies Natural Care Wipes and Huggies Little Snugglers are available at Babies “R” Us locations nationwide. I really enjoy browsing the store to check out what new products are available and to see what’s on sale that week. My favorite from Huggies was the Huggies Gift Pack pictured below that contains both newborn and size 1 Little Snugglers along with 248 Huggies Natural Care Wipes, and coupons. It’s a perfect gift for an expecting parent (hint-hint).
I’m a little too excited about having a baby again. I’m hoping my a new little one can wear the outfit that I brought Gabe home from the hospital in. Do you think the outfit is neutral enough for a surprise?
Did you know that Babies “R” Us offers free Basic Classes in-store? They’re hosted by a local medical partner to help guide parents through the first few months of infancy. The classes range from bathing baby to diaper changing, and a wide variety of topics in-between. They’re great for first time parents, and someone who is a little rusty on baby care (like me!). You will need to check your local store for class availability and times.
Are you expecting a new baby soon or maybe you know someone who is? I hope you’ll share this post with the free Woodland Animal Printables and the wide variety of items/classes available from Babies “R” Us.
