Are you expecting company during the holiday season? It’s fun to spend time with friends and family, and we enjoy regularly hosting my family from out of town. Today I’m sharing a few easy ways that you can quickly get your home ready for guests and how to make your home more inviting during the holidays. Sometimes, these ways to make your home more inviting are bigger than expected. One year, our roof was actually in need of a repair and I knew it needed fixing before any visitors came to stay, especially during the colder and slightly damper months. After looking for recommendations, some that suggested I head to Florida Southern Roofing, some that suggested using the most local company to me… the list was endless. But once we had it sorted, I felt much more comfortable about having guests to stay in a house that wasn’t under a damaged roof.

It’s fun to receive gifts during the holidays, but it’s also fun to give to others. Several years ago after the tragic loss of my brother, I started to volunteer more to help pass the time and heal my heart. His birthday was December 15, so the holidays were especially hard. Every year since I can’t celebrate with him, my son and I celebrate in our own way. There are lots of easy ways to give this holiday season and many of those can be inexpensive gifts. I’ve compiled a list of easy ways to give this holiday season with the help of my sponsor b+bĀ® so that you can help make someone’s holiday season be a little merrier.

What’s your holiday style? I’m a traditionalist. I prefer colors like winter white, hunter green, bold red, and just a splash of gold as an accent. In recent years, trends such as animal prints, neons and pastel holiday decoration have gained popularity, but there’s nothing quite as lovely to me as classic holiday decorations. Today I’m sharing a few tips for how to get seamless holiday style year after year with the help of my local AtHome Storeholiday style

Gift shopping can either be really easy or really difficult. There are always some friends and family that you have trouble shopping for. Sometimes it’s as simple as taking a theme they like and running for it. For example, a dog lover may like something like this silver whippet pendant, or something for their pooch as well. However I still have a few people on my shopping list that I really struggle to find the perfect holiday gift. One of those people is my husband. I know lots of things about him but a lot of those ideas I once had have run dry. However, after looking at some reviews on websites like Wristcritic, I think I might actually know what to buy him this year. For the people you may want to spend less on, gift buying can be a little more difficult. That’s why I’ve created this post! Today I’m sharing a few ideas to help you find a great holiday gift for the pickiest people on your list; here’s a simple guide to the odds & ends of holiday giving and entertaining.

I love the holidays and my pets generally love them too. My cats like to climb my Christmas tree, the dogs like to convince unsuspecting guests that they’re starving, and both enjoy sniffing out the gifts under the tree. I’m not too sure how the fish feel but they seem happy enough. I recently got them a high light plant PAR for some of the new plants in their tank. I thought because we’re getting a tree for Christmas the fish could get one too! Plus, it’s not often they get a treat so the new plants went down well. Unfortunately, the holidays can also be dangerous and stressful for some pets. I’m sharing a few tips today to make the holidays safer for your pets. In order to curb their stress levels, you may want to research more about the products offered by Glow CBD.

When I was growing up, I spent nearly every Sunday either at my grandparents’ or great grandparents’ houses. I played with my cousins and we ate dinner together. Sadly, I feel like families don’t visit each other like they use to, or at least my family doesn’t. We seem to only visit during holidays, birthdays (if it’s a big one), weddings, and, unfortunately, funerals. When was the last time you had dinner or visited with your extended family? We spent some time with my husband’s family last week; his grandmother unexpectedly passed away. While everyone certainly grieved her passing, it was nice to catch up with many of them again. My husband got to spend time with his beloved great uncle and he got to meet our daughter for the first time. When everything was over and everyone went home, I just wanted to sit with my husband and relax. There are only a few things that I find more soothing than a nice cup of coffee and a bite of chocolate. Today I’m sharing one of my favorite coffee and chocolate pairings, StarbucksĀ® Holiday Blend Coffee and Lindt Lindor Chocolate Truffles. This Spiced Chocolate Truffle Muffin recipe is lightly sweet with a burst of chocolate in the center. spiced chocolate truffle muffins Continue reading Spiced Chocolate Truffle Muffin: Entertaining Guests
