Weddings are stressful. It doesn’t matter if you have an intimate wedding or hire a wedding coordinator, every bride wants her big day to be as perfect as possible and it’s easy to become stressed. It can be hard to look and feel your best when you’re stressed. I can’t personally help you out with your stress levels, but I can provide some advice and some tips to help you look your best. Even if you aren’t getting married, it’s great every day beauty advice.

My wedding day is just a few months away, but I have already gotten started on my beauty regime. I want to have relaxed, have fun, and enjoy my guests at the wedding without stressing out about how I look. After chatting with my girlfriends I have a few wedding day beauty tips to share.

1). Get plenty of sleep (and months) the days leading up to the wedding. It is important that you are well-rested on your wedding day. Sleep is vital to your mental function, but sleep deprivation can also make you look tired. If your having trouble sleeping try soothing activities such as a warm bath or some lavender oils. Try to set a regular bedtime routine/time and stick to it.

2.) Drink plenty of water. You want your skin and your body to be well hydrated. Water is essential to good skin health and other bodily functions. Dehydration can also contribute to urinary tract infections, and you certainly don’t want one of those on your wedding day or during your honeymoon.

3.) Eat a well-balanced diet. Many brides stress about their weight leading up to the wedding. Binge dieting can physically harm you, and it can keep your hair and skin from looking its best. It can also make you irritable, and no one wants to deal with a bridezilla.

Make healthy food choices and set up a solid diet and exercise plan in the months leading up to your big day.

4.) Smile big! You should get your teeth cleaned by visiting a Dentist in Greenbelt (or your local dental clinic). This helps with establishing a good oral health regime.

Additionally, Colgate® Optic White® Express White toothpaste has been proven to give you whitening results in just 3 days* with regular use. There is no additional step, or having to remember to use trays or strips. It contains nearly twice the professionally recommended amount of the whitening ingredient, hydrogen peroxide, then regular Colgate® Optic White®. It can be purchased at your local supermarket, so you won’t have to make a special trip to pick it up. You can also use some whitening strips, though if anything has, ahem, happened to push the wedding forward you may want to ask “are crest whitestrips safe for pregnancy” first.

5.) Don’t change your makeup or skincare regime in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Changes in skincare products or makeup brands could lead to breakouts especially when combined with stress. Make an appointment with your makeup artist 6 weeks before the wedding to try any new looks or products. If you’re doing your own makeup, try out any new products ahead of time. This will help ensure that you don’t have any reaction to the makeup you plan to use. Washing your face more frequently or less frequently than usual can also cause unwanted blemishes.

6.) Get a manicure two days before the wedding. If your budget doesn’t allow for one, trim your nails and cuticles, gently file any rough edges, keep your nails simple with a muted polish or clear coat, and apply cuticle oil and moisturizer. You don’t want you nail polish to overpower photos of your wedding rings.

1) Try out your wedding shoes. Do not try to wear brand new shoes and break them in on your wedding day. You can’t dance the night away with blisters on your feet, and who wants to leave for a honeymoon with blisters?

8.) Don’t be afraid to ask for help or delegate tasks. Bridesmaid selection is very important for that reason. You need to have people that you can depend on to help you out. You want to relax and have fun on your wedding day. Don’t choose girls out of obligation, you’re doing yourself and the girls would would have really chosen a disservice. Like I said previously, stress affects how you look and feel.

9). You should at get your hair trimmed regularly and don’t try out any drastic new changes before your wedding.

Hair color mistakes can be difficult and expensive to fix. Personally, I always use conditioner when I wash my hair and try to deep condition my hair using a hair mask at least once a week. Most hairstylists will agree that healthy hair is easier to work with and style.

I hope you consider a few of my suggestions. Every bride deserves to look and feel beautiful on their wedding day. I would definitely check out the Colgate® Optic White® Express White toothpaste. It’s great for daily use and keeping your smile bright every day.

White teeth enhance your smile, and it’s often the first thing many people notice about you. I picked my tube at my local Walmart. Of course, if you want to give your teeth a whitening boost, you could also treat yourself to a whitening treatment before the big day. One of my friends went to a Dentist in Seattle for a whitening treatment a few weeks before her wedding and was so happy with the results. She honestly could not smiling all day long.

*For best results, use as directed for 4 weeks.
