Easy North Pole Treat

“This post was sponsored by Lionsgate as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.”
Do you have an adventurous child? My son is a little too adventurous sometimes, just like the lead character from Lionsgate newest film, Norm of the North. I try to make his life here on the farm as adventurous as possible, including what he eats. Gabe has mentioned more than a few times that he would like to see Norm of the North when it opens in theaters later this week. He and I decided to make a Norm of the North inspired easy North Pole Treat. This treat is my sneaky way of getting him to eat yogurt. You could swap out a few ingredients to suit your child’s palate.
You’re gonna need some red and white striped straws and some plain white paper to make the North Pole for this easy North Pole Treat. They’re just as easy to make for one person, as they are to make for several. You’ll start by cutting the red and white striped straw in half. I used some white paper to cut out wrap around flags and I used a gel pen to write North Pole on them. I used a touch of glue to hold the flags together. The North Pole flag is a great craft for kids too. You could also you some white sticker paper to create the flags without glue.
I used vanilla Greek yogurt as a base for my treat, but you could also use ice cream or frozen yogurt.
Place yogurt in the bottom of a small bowl, add fresh fruit, and top with more yogurt. Sprinkle some shredded coconut and snowflake sprinkles on top. Insert North Pole flag in the center of the cup and serve immediately (they’re too cut to last long anyhow).
Have you seen the previews of the movie, Norm of the North? You can check out an embedded video clip all the way at the top of this post. Norm will show you how to “Shake your Bear Thing”. It’s about a lovable and talkative polar bear named Norm, whose habitat is being taken by developers. Norm heads to New York City with a few friends at his side in hopes of saving the day.

We received a few Norm of the North promotional items, and Gabe was excited about all of it.
We love how Norm has a sense of adventure and he isn’t afraid to take on new challenges. I face new challenges every day, and so does my son. Maybe our adventures aren’t as grand as Norm’s, but we still have fun and occasionally face adversity.
