Baby’s Journey Smart Sync Baby Monitor Review

“This post was sponsored by Baby’s Journey as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary merchandise to facilitate my review.”

It’s hard to believe that my son Gabe is already 6 years old. It seems like only yesterday that he was a nursing baby. I’m already starting to forget all those sleepless nights of feeding, changing diapers, and rocking him back to sleep, or am I? lol I’m pretty sure when he was three months old, I had sworn off ever having another baby; the exhaustion had really started to sink in, and I wasn’t sure how I would manage the months ahead.

I didn’t have a baby monitor with Gabe, and I’m sure I would have gotten more rest if I had. He slept in our room, and I woke up whenever he made the slightest noise. I’m getting married in 3.5 weeks, and my fiance and I hope to have another baby or two together. Ahead of this next child we were starting to read up on a review or two of monitors, but then we found something we really wanted to give a go. I was excited to try out the new Baby’s Journey Smart Sync Baby Monitor, so I would be a little less anxious about having number 2.

As you can see on Long Distance Baby Monitors | Buying Guide for Parents, there are A LOT more options for long distant and smart baby monitors nowadays which is brilliant for giving mothers peace of mind that their child is ok, even when they’re away from home. The main thing I learnt last time is how important sleep is for both the baby and the mother. We might even hire someone like these infant sleep specialists to really help us establish a sleep routine and talk us through what the various noises mean so we don’t immediately spring up in a panic every time the baby makes a sound. But I’m getting ahead of myself… back to the monitor.

We’re almost always on the go. Gabe participates in theatre, basketball, baseball, and two seasons a year of soccer. One day I started to calculate the amount of time we spend waiting on a practice to start, and it quickly adds up. I’ve been trying to maximize my time, by working and helping Gabe get his homework done. If you don’t have an available Wi-Fi connection, do you have a data dilemma? When you’re away from Wi-Fi and you don’t have a large data plan, cellphone bills can quickly add up. You can have less of a data dilemma with Walmart Family Mobile’s latest plan which includes unlimited talk, text, and data with 10G of 4G LTE data.

Family Game Night With Just Dance: Disney Party 2

Our household loves family game night; we try to alternate between board games and games on our Wii U. We have so many games that we love to play on our Wii U, but sometimes we don’t have the space on our Wii U to save our progress. Thankfully, there are tools similar to this wii u usb helper that can help us save our game until the next game night. We often like to play two players games and we would use Wii Roms, but these tend to be better for single player experiences, and we want to play together. Gabe and I have an original version of Just Dance that we use to play frequently, and we were excited to get a copy of Just Dance: Disney Party 2. He can sing almost every song (or his rendition of it) on the Disney Descendants soundtrack, and several of the songs from the movie are on the new game, including Rotten to the Core. My photography has evolved so much in the last five years; that has been the direct result of two things, learning to manually control my camera and learning to use Lightroom and Photoshop CC. I had always enjoyed photography, but I also learned out of necessity; I wanted to capture lots of images of Gabe growing up and I didn’t have lots of money to spend on a professional photographer. Some of my first images weren’t properly exposed or overly edited, but with time and practice my photographing and editing skills have drastically improved. Today I’m sharing a few of my best tips for going from momtographer (hey, there’s nothing wrong with just being a momtographer, you’ll save yourself some money) to photographer.

When my ex husband and I got married, we left our two dogs in Miami with his parents while we were on our honeymoon. We received a devastating call that no dog owner wants to receive, our beloved Kita and Niko had gone missing. They were purebred Siberian Huskies; Kita was acquired from a friend and Niko was purchased from a breeder. We had them for nearly year, and I was very attached. Kita had been allowed in my late great grandmother’s house, a feat achieved by no other dog. His dad had left the dogs in their fenced backyard and went to work, and they had vanished. We left for Miami as soon as we could. His parents, brother, and a few friends searched for days. We talked to people, and hung up reward posters; the dogs were never seen again.

We Were Robbed

Last summer we came home from a brief family vacation to quite a surprise, Jeremy’s garage had been broken into. We have always made sure our home is secure before we leave, even if it’s just to go to the shops, so it’s the last thing I expected to come home to. However, we’d never thought to make sure our Verisure alarms extended to our outbuildings, which in hindsight was so foolish! The farm is in a secluded but is highly visible from the main road because of the size, but the wooded areas around it give “creepers” lots of room to hide. The house was nearing completion, and we had been staying with Jeremy’s parents several hundred yards away. It was a Saturday evening, and the contractors had been using the garage as a staging area for their work. As soon as we got home, Jeremy went down to check the locks on everything and take a peek around, when he discovered that he had been robbed. We had furniture, tools, equipment, and other personal belongings temporarily stored in his farm garage. The intruders had prowled through boxes of family photos and taken heirloom tools that belong to Jeremy’s grandfather; the thieves took more than just personal possessions, they took my sense of security.
