It doesn’t matter which stage of life your dog is in, their weight is very important to their overall health. In younger dogs and older dogs especially, it can be hard to calculate their daily dietary needs. Your dog food should include information about how much they recommend to feed your dog each day, but just like humans have individual dietary needs, so does your dog. If you’re unsure about what food you should be giving your dog, checking out a site like Jug Dog may help you to figure it out. Maybe you’re asking yourself, “How much should I feed my dog each day?” Our Rottweiler, Kitty, is a good example. Her dietary needs will not necessarily be met by solely following the directions on the side of the bag. Kitty only eats Wellness® Complete Health™ Line dog food. They only use high quality protein and include essential vitamins and nutrients, so she can easily sustain her busy life here on the farm. Here is my not-so-cut-and-dry answer to how much you should you feed your dog each day.

My wedding is two and a half weeks away, and I would be lying if I didn’t say I’m overwhelmingly stressed. I thought getting married here on the farm would be simpler and less stressful, but it really isn’t. There are so many projects that need to be finished around the house, and so little time. Our wedding reception will be held on our front porch and lawn, and our house is less than 2 years old, so there were some landscaping projects to finish. We considered getting a deck for our front garden to ensure there’d be more comfortable seating for our guests and opportunity for things like firepits, but we decided Dino Decking would look better in the back garden… that’s one thing I don’t have to think about! I also love to garden and I prize having fresh cut flowers.

I knew that I was short on time and cash (weddings are expensive). In one quick trip to Big Lots and less than 30 minutes, I added a little wow to my doorway with the help of some new patio urns filled with flowers. Here are my best tips on how to spruce up your doorway for spring. As helpful as I hope these tips are, it must be said that a professional landscaper would be able to do a job like this in a much more assured and efficient manner and you should consider getting in touch with one if you’re looking to have similar work done to your home.

How I “Tamed” The Litter Box With 3 Cats #HealthyPetHappyPet

I never intended to own three cats, but I don’t intend to do lots of other things; they just sort of…well…happen. We wouldn’t have it any other way now. Tucker, Leo, and Freckles are our family. They require lots of cat food, cat litter, and attention; and they produce lots of waste. They’re all very reliable using their litter boxes, but their litter has to be emptied daily to avoid a pile-up worse than Friday afternoon traffic. I knew that there would be lots of waste with three cats, so I started researching ways decrease waste volume and smell. I have always used a higher-end dog food for many reasons, but one reason is that my dogs produce less waste. They have smaller, firmer stools. They also eat smaller portions because the food is much more dense in protein and nutrients. I realized the same principles would apply to cat food, and that’s why I switched our cats to CANIDAE® Grain Free PURE.

Close to 13 years ago, my now ex-husband and I were on our way to the Atlanta Airport cargo terminal to pick up our new dog. When we arrived they gave us some unexpected news, one of the workers had opened her crate to offer her water and she had escaped. She was obviously very scared from her flight and time traveling, and no one seemed familiar. They warned us that if she escaped out to the tarmac, she could be shot by security.

How To Choose Plants For Patio Pots

how to choose plants for patio pots

Jeremy started building the house we live in now about the same time we started dating two and half years ago. Now we’re getting married here next month. It takes a lot of work to landscape around new construction. A lot of people find it difficult to complete landscape projects, especially if they are big projects. If this is the case for you then you might want to contact a landscaping company such as Legion Landscaping to help you finish the work. The house took almost an entire year to build and we moved in during fall. I did manage to get a few plants in the ground before winter came. Finding the perfect plants that could survive our changing weather would be difficult for any gardening enthusiast, but we are managing to pull it off. A little patience and a lot of research goes a long way, I even came across the best plants for San Diego that would be great for anyone who wanted to change up their garden. As for our garden, we’ve been finishing it a little at a time. I’m trying to get the yard and landscaping to look respectable before we entertain 100 of our closest friends and family for our big day. I’m planning on putting some teak garden furniture outside on the patio for extra seating which I think will look nice. I don’t want to weed and put out fresh mulch until closer to our date, but I am getting the patio pots on the back porch finished.

If I Had A Conversation With My Dog

If I could have a conversation with my French Bulldog, Bob, it would go something like the following (and keep in mind as you read, this Frenchie speaks with a South American accent because he was born in Colombia):

Me: Bob get out of the cat’s food.

Bob: I need foods, all the foods. Did you know there is extra foods in that bag right over there?

Me: Bob, please scoot over; my leg is falling asleep and your body heat is making me feel like I’m having hot flashes!

Bob: I’m going to lay on you until you feed me. I don’t want to miss any of the delicious foods you might have.

Me: Bob, get off the dining room table! How do you get on a 4 foot table with 4 inch legs?

Bob: But mother, I was only cleaning up everyone’s dinner scraps…and I see the cat get on the table ALL the time.

Me: Oh goodness, what’s that smell?

Bob: What? Oh, that… You remember those extra tacos I stole from the table? They aren’t agreeing with my delicate digestive system. Could you lay off the pepper next time? By the way, I need to…oh…excuse me!

Me: Why is it 900 degrees in my bed? (Goes to throw covers in the floor only to realize they’re anchored down…)

Bob: Oh, good, you are awake! I saw a boogie man under the bed, and I was just trying to keep you safe and warm. But now that I think about it, it might have been the cat.

Me: Bob! You JUST went outside for a long walk. What is THAT on my rug?

Bob: Um…the Bob forgot to do something while he was outside. It’s ok, I put it next to the door for you. By the way, I blame the tacos.

I love my frenchie, but he’s a different kind of dog. He’s very needy, slightly neurotic, and he has a face that only a mother could love. His life revolves around food and so does his behavior.
