Rubbermaid Brillance containers

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Rubbermaid®.

I have a two month old daughter and a 7.5 year old son. He plays several sports and we’re always on the go. Did I mention the’s the size of an average 9 or 10 year old? While I was still pregnant, we would playfully tease him about eating more than me. He’s either eating or thinking about eating. I haven’t been able to work (blog) as much since my daughter was born and finances are much tighter. It’s really expensive to eat out constantly and there are very few healthy options on the average drive-thru menu. These new Rubbermaid BRILLIANCE™ Salad & Snack containers make it easy to prep meals and snacks. I’m sharing some meal prepping tips and giving you an opportunity to win a set of Rubbermaid BRILLIANCE containers at the end of this post.

#StyleUp4School With OshKosh B’Gosh

#StyleUp4School

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of OshKosh B’gosh; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

We have a new member of our household; in late July, I gave birth to a daughter. My son started school just two weeks later and luckily we had done most of our back to school shopping prior to the arrival of his little sister. My son is 7.5 years old and just started 2nd grade. He has strong opinions on everything, including his school clothing. When cleaning out his closet before shopping, I realized that nothing from his spring school wardrobe would fit him, unless it had elastic in the waist (and that didn’t guarantee they would fit). We always head to OshKosh B’gosh for most of his clothing. I’ve found that their clothing can withstand fun on the playground and life on the farm, and without breaking my budget; this is more important than ever since I have two kids to buy clothes for now. Today I’m sharing a few of our favorite pieces from OshKosh B’gosh and how we #StyleUp4School. I’m also giving away an OshKosh B’gosh gift card and asking for your helping selecting a project to fund on DonorsChoose.org at the bottom of this post. #StyleUp4School Continue reading #StyleUp4School With OshKosh B’Gosh

How To Keep Produce Fresh Longer: Rubbermaid FreshWorks

rubbermaid freshworks

“This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Rubbermaid.”

Our household goes through a lot of produce. I like to purchase a variety of things so that we have it to cook with or snack on. My son loves strawberries and pineapple and I prefer melon, but we both love a good salad. My husband likes produce when it’s fried or smothered in something to disguise the taste. We have lots of farm animals that will eat produce that has started to go bad, but to me that’s just really expensive chicken food. I’ve tried hard to tame our grocery budget; I’ll have to cut back on work when our new baby arrives this summer and work has already been slow due to pregnancy complications, so money is tight. If I can use produce before it spoils, I can save money on our food budget. The new Rubbermaid FreshWorks containers can help keep produce fresher, longer, and I’m going to share how they work today. You can also enter to win a three piece set of Rubbermaid FreshWorks containers at the end of this post.

Carrot Pecan Bread Recipe & Coffee Bar Tips

carrot pecan bread recipe

This post was created in partnership with Ninja Coffee Bar® System. I received complimentary products and compensation to facilitate my review, but all opinions within are my own.

I’ve enjoyed drinking coffee as long as I can remember; my infatuation with the beverage began as a little girl. I spent a lot of time with my maternal grandparents when I was small; I refer to them as Maw and Paw. Maw would have a cup of coffee right after she woke up and I became fascinated with what she was drinking. I thought I was a “big” girl when she started making me my “own” cup. It took me years to realize that she basically heated a cup of milk and put enough coffee in it to turn the color tan.

We would sit and drink our “coffee” together before we started our day, and this continued through high school and college. I then studied a Barista Course Melbourne for a year to try and improve my skills. It’s safe to say that I’m a proper barista now! I do still cherish those memories and I wish we could share cups of coffee together more often. While I don’t recommend giving children coffee, I do recommend creating memories by spending quiet time together. Today I’m sharing one of my favorite breakfast bread recipes, Carrot Pecan Bread, and some tips for setting up your own coffee bar. You can also find out how you can enter to win your own Ninja Coffee Bar® System just like the one featured here in the widget at the bottom of this post.

UP Faith & Family Service on Amazon With A Giveaway

October 28, 2016

This post was sponsored by UP Faith & Family Network, however all opinions are entirely my own.

I spent a lot of time at my great grandmother’s house growing up and she was very strict about what we watched on television. She was a teacher before she retired, and she believed that children often mimicked what they saw and heard. One  show that we weren’t allowed to watch was a very popular comedic 90’s show about a group of high schoolers. She didn’t think teenagers should be shown kissing on television, so it was forever banned in her house. Can you guess what show that was? If an episode of the Golden Girls got too racy, the television was turned off. Now I am free to watch what I want, and with the options available to me TV-wise, I’m in luck. Platforms like Netflix or Amazon prime let you pay a small amount per month for a whole bunch of great telly, and it’s easy to use. You can find a guide online to teach you how to use it, perhaps you’re moving house and need to know how to change country on Amazon prime for example. Anyway, with all this new found freedom, I had never really experienced watching TV and so to begin with, I think her television watching habits made a long-term impression on me. I’ve never been that big on watching anything terribly lude, vulgar or violent. I bet you’re thinking that I must not watch much on cable television? And you’re correct in that assumption. When I was old enough to realize that my son was old enough to listen and repeat anything that he heard, I became much more vigilant about what we watched. Discovering the UP Faith & Family Service  available through Amazon with an added monthly subscription was refreshing. Today I’ll be sharing some of my family’s favorite shows from the UP Faith & Family Service and a giveaway for two Amazon Prime subscriptions (or a gift card worth $100 if the winner already has an Amazon Prime subscription). buy bystolic online https://rxxbuynoprescriptiononline.net/bystolic.html no prescription

DIY Farmhouse Sign & Cricut Supply Giveaway

Diy farmhouse sign

Farmhouse style decor is one of the hottest trends in home decorating at the moment. We live in a farmhouse on a farm, so it kinda makes sense for us. I also have a growing collection of family heirlooms and antiques, that fit in with that style. I’ve been adding farmhouse style signs to our house one at a time. I think they look really nice and match our decor amazingly. However, I know some people might not have the time to create their own farmhouse sign. If that’s the case, you could always purchase one from Neon Mama, for example. That would allow homeowners to purchase a neon sign that could add additional light into the home. That’s always easier than making your own, especially if you have no time to spare. However, for those who want to create their own, keep reading. This is my first farmhouse style sign tutorial, and I’ll be adding the others that I’ve designed and made in the next few weeks. I saw something similar in a shop, but couldn’t justify the price tag so set about looking on sites like www.thehowtocrew.com to try and find out how to make my own. This DIY Farmhouse Sign just requires a few supplies and less than an hour to finish. I’ve also partnered with several other Cricut bloggers to feature some of our projects, and to give away a box of Cricut supplies. The complete details are at the bottom of this post.

Plunder Vintage Style Jewelry & A Giveaway

Plunder Design Vintage Style Jewelry

The first time I heard about Plunder Vintage Style Jewelry was when my sister posted online about a gift she received from some friends. It was a beautiful vintage looking necklace made of several strands of faux pearls with a matching bracelet.

The piece was lovely and it accented her wardrobe so well. Shortly after my wedding, my friend Andrea asked if I would like to review a piece from the Plunder Vintage Style Jewelry line and give away a matching piece to a lucky reader. I had so much fun going through her online store and selecting a piece for review, and the hardest part was selecting my favorite piece.
