how to make a bonnet stand

Every mother with a daughter knows how important it is to keep your little princess looking her best. One of our favorite clothing accessories is her bonnets. She has several in various colors, and if you’ve been buying them from boutiques, you know that they are an investment. We want to make sure her bonnets maintain their shape so they look their best when she’s wearing them, and to make sure we get the best resale value when we trade up to the next size. Today I’m sharing a tutorial for how to make a bonnet stand.

How to Make Your Home More Inviting During the Holidays

Are you expecting company during the holiday season? It’s fun to spend time with friends and family, and we enjoy regularly hosting my family from out of town. Today I’m sharing a few easy ways that you can quickly get your home ready for guests and how to make your home more inviting during the holidays. Sometimes, these ways to make your home more inviting are bigger than expected. One year, our roof was actually in need of a repair and I knew it needed fixing before any visitors came to stay, especially during the colder and slightly damper months. After looking for recommendations, some that suggested I head to Florida Southern Roofing, some that suggested using the most local company to me… the list was endless. But once we had it sorted, I felt much more comfortable about having guests to stay in a house that wasn’t under a damaged roof.

What’s your holiday style? I’m a traditionalist. I prefer colors like winter white, hunter green, bold red, and just a splash of gold as an accent. In recent years, trends such as animal prints, neons and pastel holiday decoration have gained popularity, but there’s nothing quite as lovely to me as classic holiday decorations. Today I’m sharing a few tips for how to get seamless holiday style year after year with the help of my local AtHome Storeholiday style

I love decorating for Christmas. Some people have an aversion to Christmas decorations going up before Halloween, but if I’m going to spend hours decorating, I want to have time to enjoy them. We made a few significant improvements to our downstairs living area since last Christmas, one of which is our lovely double barn doors. I didn’t want to take away from my large and beautiful Christmas tree, but I really wanted to highlight the doors. I needed to pick up a few more Farmhouse Christmas Decor pieces but since I really want to install the shiplap around the fireplace before Christmas, I was on a tight budget. I have one big suggestion on where to find Farmhouse Christmas Decor for Less; have you been to Big Lots recently? They have a large selection of farmhouse style Christmas decor in a variety of color palettes. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite Farmhouse Christmas Decor pieces and tips for styling your farmhouse for the holidays.

My son will be 7 in January, and I’m having a hard time remembering what it was like preparing for a baby or having a newborn; maybe that’s a good thing? I remember reading reviews on everything and trying to save as much money as possible to help compensate for my expected time off work. Not all baby products are made equal, and you shouldn’t have to choose between affordability and quality when trying to save money. Today I’m going to help you save on nursery decor, so that you’ll have more money to stock up on necessities that you’ll really need. These Woodland Animal Printables can add a nice (and gender neutral) touch to any nursery decor. I’m still toying with the idea of letting our baby be a surprise in the delivery room, and decor that could be gender neutral would make that a little less stressful. I used popular elements such as owls, foxes, bears, and deer to create the printable art. They print very nicely on 8×10 or standard size card stock (that can be cut down to fit an 8×10 frame).

Wooden bathroom art tutorial

One of the last rooms to be decorated in our newly built home is our bathrooms. We purchased nice vanities and fixtures, and got some great bits and bobs from Factory Buys to decorate with, but I’ve struggled with accessorizing the room. I didn’t want to invest a lot of money in a room that we only use a few minutes a day, but I wanted it to reflect the style throughout the rest of our home. Even though we weren’t planning on investing much, one of our friends did tell us that bathroom renovations can increase the overall value of the home. From there, she recommended that we might want to buy frameless shower doors because they’re quite popular in modern bathrooms apparently. A lot of people do always say that having a modern bathroom is an investment, especially because a lot of potential buyers look out for recently renovated bathrooms. If we were going to get those shower doors, we’d probably upgrade our shower too at the same. When doing this, it would probably be best to use Portland plumber Sarkinen Plumbing, or another one more local to your home, to ensure that the shower was installed properly. Whilst a new shower looks nice, it’s something we’ll definitely keep in mind for a later date. However, for now, our main focus was to decorate the bathroom and ensure that it looked good. I found an inexpensive solution for an otherwise boring bathroom by creating this farmhouse style wooden bathroom sign. It cost less than $15 to create and adds a bit of whimsy. There’s nothing overly complicated about this Wooden Bathroom Sign and there are no power tools required if you have a home improvement store cut the wood for you.

Diy farmhouse sign

Farmhouse style decor is one of the hottest trends in home decorating at the moment. We live in a farmhouse on a farm, so it kinda makes sense for us. I also have a growing collection of family heirlooms and antiques, that fit in with that style. I’ve been adding farmhouse style signs to our house one at a time. I think they look really nice and match our decor amazingly. However, I know some people might not have the time to create their own farmhouse sign. If that’s the case, you could always purchase one from Neon Mama, for example. That would allow homeowners to purchase a neon sign that could add additional light into the home. That’s always easier than making your own, especially if you have no time to spare. However, for those who want to create their own, keep reading. This is my first farmhouse style sign tutorial, and I’ll be adding the others that I’ve designed and made in the next few weeks. I saw something similar in a shop, but couldn’t justify the price tag so set about looking on sites like www.thehowtocrew.com to try and find out how to make my own. This DIY Farmhouse Sign just requires a few supplies and less than an hour to finish. I’ve also partnered with several other Cricut bloggers to feature some of our projects, and to give away a box of Cricut supplies. The complete details are at the bottom of this post.
