A New Baby & Sam’s Club Baby Days

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Acorn Influencers and Procter and Gamble, however all opinions are entirely my own.

Babies are soft, sweet, and they usually smell pretty good; having a baby is an amazing experience, but it can also be an expensive one. I breast fed by own son so I didn’t have to buy formula, but between the clothes they’re constantly outgrowing or ruining, diapers, wipes, toys, and feeding utensils the costs quickly add up. If your baby goes to daycare, your first year expenses will likely triple. A recent survey of new moms estimated that new parents will spend between $6,000 and $10,000 on baby essentials and childcare during their first year of life. I’m an avid Sam’s Club shopper; that helped to stretch our dollars a little further during my son’s first few years of life, and made shopping with a baby a little more convenient. I could get brands that I trusted like Pampers and Dreft in affordable club packs/sizes which meant fewer trips to the store for me. My guy has been out of diapers for a few years now, but my family has a new baby. I still regularly shop at Sam’s Club, and he gave me a whole new reason to peruse the baby aisles during Sam’s Club Baby Days.

My son has been an Army child his entire life. He’s no stranger to goodbyes, and time away from family and friends. It wasn’t a choice he made; it was a life he was born into and I try to make goodbyes as easy as possible for him. It’s gotten worse since his father and I divorced, and we now live several counties away from him. He goes to visit him every other weekend and holidays, and he’s slowly getting into a routine. Our lives are complicated by the fact that my fiance is a commuting professor who is gone several days a week. I can’t always make a five year old understand why everyone must come and go, but I can help make his transitions a little easier with his new CloudPets™ toy.

As a parent, I’ve slowly perfected the game of hurry up and wait. In the morning, I’m rushing to get Gabe ready for school and then we’re waiting on the bus to come. In the afternoon, we’re waiting in the pick-up line. We rush get ready for sports and theater practice, and we wait again. Parenting gets hectic, specially when children are involved in extracurricular activities.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of DairyPure Milk for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

It can be tough to parent a young athlete. Sports can be physically and mentally demanding, and highly competitive. Coaches are a huge influence on children, but parents play a vital role in the success of youth athletes.

Fall Children’s Clothing Deals At Carter’s

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Carter’s. I received a complimentary gift card to facilitate my review and thank me for my participation.”

Since my son was born, I’ve trusted Carter’s clothing. I’ll be honest, up until a month ago when I thought of Carter’s I pictured baby sleepers, toddler clothing, and pajamas. I didn’t realize that Carter’s carries up to size 8 clothing and 3y shoes. Remember those super soft baby sleepers? Their t-shirts are equally soft, and very affordable. Check out some of Gabe’s cute new outfits for fall in the photos below, and read about the latest trends and sales from Carter’s clothing; there’s even a printable coupon at the bottom of this post that can be used online or in stores.

August 13, 2015

This is a sponsored post, however all thoughts and options are entirely my own.

Starting tomorrow, August 14th you can meet Bianca and her buddy Bob the Bear on Amazon’s newest original kids’ series Wishenpoof. Bianca and her mother have magical wishing powers that allow them to “Wishenpoof”. Gabe and I had the opportunity to preview the first season, and he was immediately captivated. Today, I’m sharing his thoughts on the new series and why I think Wishenpoof should be your child’s watch list. Remember: Wishenpoof is free for Prime members through Amazon Prime.
