Great Baby Shower Gifts For Every Budget

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com on behalf of Single Edition Media

We’ve started to prep our house for the new baby. I want to make sure that everything is ready early, so that we can relax (as much as possible) before the arrival of he or she. A large part of this involved reading reviews of baby products on websites like babycro.com. Whenever you buy something for a child, it is vital that you do as much research as possible to ensure that you are buying something that works and will last. Furthermore, I was excited to receive a Babble Boxx full of products for mom and baby from some of my favorite brands. A baby box can be a lifesaver for any expecting mother so I was so happy to get one! My son just turned 7 years old, so it’s been a while since I cared for a newborn. I had very few baby items left from his nursery other than his crib and some clothes. We’ve been testing out some of these products and I’m excited to share our thoughts. So whether you’re a new/expecting parent still shopping for items that you think you need or you’re shopping for a family member or friend or looking online for that perfect gift (from somewhere like https://bestformums.co.uk/best-baby-bouncers/), here’s some great baby shower gifts for every budget.

Saving Time With Walmart Curbside Grocery Pickup

This post was sponsored by Walmart, however all opinions are entirely my own.

I don’t hate grocery shopping; I occasionally like to browse the aisles and check out new products, when I’m not in a rush or have my son in tow. It never fails that my son is hungry while he’s grocery shopping with me, and he needs (or wants) one of everything. I especially don’t like grocery shopping during the holidays. The stores are generally much more crowded; there are holiday themed sweet treats every where, many of which are hard to pass up. My least favorite time to grocery shop is when I’m in my first trimester of pregnancy (right now). Not only are the stores more crowded due to the holidays this time of year, but my hormones are raging and I’m battling horrendous morning sickness (aka all-day sickness). The weirdest smells seem to set of my gag-reflex and before I know it, I’m trying to make it to the closest restroom. With my son Gabe, the smell of dog food made me sick. This time around it’s meat, any and all meat products. If I’m lucky enough to make it to a restroom, I face the awkward dilemma of finding the least germ-y location to brace my hands. Walmart Curbside Grocery Pickup is a game changer for busy (or sick) parents like myself, who can’t or don’t want to battle a crowded grocery store. If I do have to go into a packed store then I will at least try and choose one that has implemented some self-service POS systems (like these – https://revelsystems.com/hardware/) as it means that my experience as a customer is streamlined and my shopping can be processed more quickly at the checkout so that I can get out and leave to get on with my day sooner. It’s almost physically impossible for me to shop, so Walmart Curbside Grocery Pickup is a great alternative. What’s that? You didn’t know about Walmart Curbside Grocery Pickup? Read ahead to find out more about the service and which locations currently have it available.

Tips To Help Prevent Dehydration and Manage Morning Sickness

I had almost forgotten how rough my pregnancy with my son Gabe was. I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) when I was almost 7 weeks pregnant. I had been vomiting all day, every day, for several days straight. I was working in the Clinical Laboratory at the University of Kentucky and after nearly vomiting all over my equipment, I nearly passed out from dehydration. I was rolled up to the obstetrics floor of the hospital and I spent the next several hours being pumped with IV fluids. Nowadays, IV therapy can be done from home, and is popular among people looking to tackle dehydration, as I was, and boosting energy levels. This iv hydration therapy session is definitely something you should look into if you struggle with dehydration, and it will avoid a situation involving hospitalization! I ended up on prescription medication to help control the nausea and vomiting, and I still was hospitalized several times for dehydration. Typical prenatal vitamins were out of the question; every variety that I tried seemed to make my nausea worse. And I kept having people who weren’t pregnant telling me that I should have a look at how CBD oil UK could help when it comes to my nausea. I really wanted to give it a shot because my nausea was honestly making me feel horrible, but I just knew that this wouldn’t be the best course of action to take whilst pregnant. I’ll definitely be considering it as an option if I feel nauseous anytime soon though. But at that moment, I had to find something else. Anything else.

Does The COUNTRY Financial® ChorePal app work?

I posted several weeks ago about the COUNTRY Financial ® ChorePal app. I was introduced to it through a company that I regularly work with and I was very interested because I want my son to develop healthier financial habits. He’s 6 (turning 7 in Jan) and we’ve been giving him allowance, tooth fairy money, and the occasional monetary incentive. I hoped that earning the money would be more rewarding than being given money. I’ve had a few people ask, “Does the COUNTRY Financial ® ChorePal app work?” After a few weeks of continual use, my answer is yes; but only if you remember to use it. Here is my honest review of the COUNTRY Financial ® ChorePal app and a few tips for successfully using it.

STEM Toys For Young Children: Friday Fresh Picks

My son’s birthday is a month after Christmas. I struggle with gift suggestions for him, I hate having a house filled with toys that he will play with one or video games. Big items on the list he created included anything Pokemon and Skylanders. He’s also in Cub Scouts so his first BB gun and archery set is on his list. I’ve encouraged our family to purchase STEM toys for Gabe because he really enjoys math and science projects. Here are a few of great STEM Toys for Young Children that I’ve discovered during my quest to find gifts or gift suggestions for Gabe.

My son will be 7 in January, and I’m having a hard time remembering what it was like preparing for a baby or having a newborn; maybe that’s a good thing? I remember reading reviews on everything and trying to save as much money as possible to help compensate for my expected time off work. Not all baby products are made equal, and you shouldn’t have to choose between affordability and quality when trying to save money. Today I’m going to help you save on nursery decor, so that you’ll have more money to stock up on necessities that you’ll really need. These Woodland Animal Printables can add a nice (and gender neutral) touch to any nursery decor. I’m still toying with the idea of letting our baby be a surprise in the delivery room, and decor that could be gender neutral would make that a little less stressful. I used popular elements such as owls, foxes, bears, and deer to create the printable art. They print very nicely on 8×10 or standard size card stock (that can be cut down to fit an 8×10 frame).
