I’m a big kid at heart, and that can be seen in my love of all things Disney. When I was growing up, most of our big vacations were taken to Walt Disney World; in fact, the very last vacation my family took before my parent’s divorce was a weeklong trip to Walt Disney World. I was about my son’s age when my parents first took my brother Brandon and I. This was Gabe’s second trip to Walt Disney World; we went 2 1/2 years ago when I ran the Disney Princess Half Marathon and created so many memories. I think we enjoyed this trip more than the previous one, Gabe is tall enough (and brave enough) to ride most of the big rides and he loved Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (who am I kidding? the adults loved it too). The Halloween and fall decorations around the parks were gorgeous, and I could sit for hours people watching and taking in all the creative costumes. It was worth every…single…penny… just to see the smiles and excitement. Today I’m sharing a few tips to help you plan your trip to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

I might live in a house full of boys, but we still love Tinker Bell. It began with Peter Pan, and we have watched every Tinker Bell movie since. We even stood in line at Walt Disney World to get fan photos with our favorite fairies. My son was very excited when he watched the trailer for Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast; Who doesn’t love a good beast? He and I saw a few Tinker Bell items at our local Walmart, and he “had to have” the Tinker Bell bubble wand. We decided to bake some Tinker Bell cupcakes to celebrate the release of Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast.

One of my favorite family activities is family movie night. I love finding a great movie that the entire family will enjoy, making snacks, and cuddling on the couch.

Cinderella Inspired Glass Slipper Cookies

My absolute favorite Disney cartoon is Cinderella. I love the magical tale, and I watched it over and over growing up. I loved the idea that a girl who lived as a peasant could become a Princess, and that there was a Prince Charming out there waiting for me. I was beyond excited when I heard about the new Cinderella, and I’ve been planning this Fandango Family post for months. These Cinderella inspired Glass cookies are a blend of a traditional glass cookie and a shortbread Linzer; it took several tries before I finally mastered a recipe that I could confidently share with my readers.
Becoming a Princess with RunDisney

Almost two years ago I ran the Disney Princess half marathon with RunDisney at Disney World Resort. It was a magical experience, but I had a few regrets. I think if I had researched more about the races, I could have had a better run and much better experience overall. I thought I would share a few tips that might make your transition from regular runner to Disney Princess a little more magical.
